Tsunami sensors are -so- expensive – NOT!
After the tsunami hit Asia and Africa, some national leaders in countries bordering the Indian Ocean stated that the Indian Ocean didn’t have a network to check for tsunamis because the sensors are so expensive. According to an article in Science News, the Pacific tsunami warning network cost just $17.6 million dollars to run from 1997 throuh 2003.
Sure seems to me to beat $1.5 billion dollars and over 100,000 deaths.
